What is The Daisy Project?
The Daisy Project is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to helping families keep their pets during times of financial hardship. We provide pet food assistance and limited support services to ensure that no pet has to leave their home due to temporary financial struggles.
Who qualifies for pet food assistance?
Household pets eligible for assistance must:
Live in your home or yard
Be primarily fed and cared for by you
Be named
Receive regular veterinary care provided by you
Be microchipped to you or your family
All pets in the home must be listed on the application.
What types of animals are NOT eligible for assistance?
We do not provide assistance for:
Feral cats
Stray or neighborhood animals
Feral cat colonies
Animals being fostered for rehoming
Our services are intended for owned household pets only.
How much pet food assistance can I receive?
Assistance is intended to supplement, not replace, your pet food budget. Typically:
The program provides 1–2 weeks’ worth of food per month
Dog households may receive one gallon-size bag of food
Cat households may receive up to two gallon-size bags of basic litter (when available)
All items are subject to availability and donation levels.
Is identification required to receive assistance?
Yes. Valid photo ID and proof of residence (utility bill, lease, or similar document) are required at every visit. Assistance will not be provided without proper documentation.
How often can I receive assistance?
Assistance is available once per month. Approved applicants must follow scheduled pickup guidelines and bring required identification at each visit.
Does The Daisy Project provide veterinary care or financial aid?
No. The Daisy Project does not provide:
Veterinary care
Rehoming or fostering assistance
Medical advice
Medication, supplements, or cash assistance
Our primary focus is providing pet food support and limited voucher assistance.
What is the Spay, Neuter, and Vaccination Assistance Program?
The Daisy Project provides vouchers to help cover the cost of spays, neuters, and vaccinations for approved household pets. This program helps promote responsible pet ownership and reduces long-term financial strain on families.
How do I apply for a spay or neuter voucher?
Applicants must:
Visit the P.E.T.S. Clinic website to request an appointment.
Complete the Daisy Project confirmation form.
Send confirmation of the appointment to The Daisy Project.
Pick up the voucher before the surgery date and bring it to the appointment.
Vouchers must be used within the specified timeframe.
How long are vaccination vouchers valid?
Vaccination vouchers are valid for 30 days once issued. Pet owners are responsible for scheduling appointments and transportation. The Daisy Project is not liable for health-related outcomes associated with services provided by the clinic.
